  • Dynamic performance: The elastic must maintain position during the head movements typical of clinical work, including forward flexion, lateral rotation, and bending over a patient.
  • Extended wear retention: The elastic must maintain its tension across a full clinical shift in the temperature and humidity conditions of the target ward. Request a full-shift floor trial before bulk approval.

Compatibility With Other PPE

A surgical hood does not function in isolation as part of infection control PPE. It is worn as part of a gowning system that typically includes a surgical or procedure mask, eye protection, and an isolation or surgical gown.
